-STIMULATE THE GEOGRAPHICAL ACTIVITY OF HISTORICAL BUILDINGS -DELAYING THE AGING OF BUILDINGS -SUPPLYING HISTORIC BUILDINGS WITH ENERGY -WITHOUT IMPINGING ON THEIR HISTORIC AND CULTURAL VALUES
Archiford architecture office released a competition design work, RING OF VILLA, on its official website in 2019. By combing the historical events and pedestrian activities of the base, it injected new vitality into the historical area with technical means and design ingenuity.
STEP1 PRELIMINARY RESEARCH
The team found that the base has a long history and a large number of historical buildings preserved, but the social activities of historical buildings are weakened due to long-term disrepair and other reasons.

CHALLENGE
-BALANCE OF NEW & OLD -NEW GEOMETRY’S DAMAGE TO PERCEPTION -LOSS OF FUNCTION
After sorting out the challenges, the team decided to activate the historic block by building a flexible and universal activity system to enrich community activities.
Investigate and sort out the daily life activities of residents and tourists, such as necessities, preferences and non necessities, analyze the occurrence rules of various activities in the community, determine the design objectives, and carry out the overall planning of the base.
