On June 29th, the opening ceremony of “ARCHIFORD European Design Exhibition” was held at the Huaxia Museum in Italy. The exhibition was co-sponsored by Archiford and the Milan Huaxia Group. The design exhibition was hosted by UNESCO International Centre for Creative and Sustainable Development. Italian branch. The European Design Exhibition lasted for 6 days and ended on July 4.
6月29日，“ARCHIFORD 欧洲设计展”开幕式在意大利华夏博物馆举行，该展由英国敦 Archiford 事务所与米兰华夏集团共同主办，设计展承办地为联合国教科文组织国际创意与可持续发展中心意大利分部。本届欧洲设计展为期6天，7月4日结束展览。

As more countries in Italy and Europe join the “Belt and Road” framework agreement, cooperation between China and Europe will become more extensive and in-depth. As an area closely monitors residents’ lifestyles, architectural design will provide more possibilities for China-EU cooperation.

The theme of this year’s “Archiford European Design Exhibition” is “Bounds” and “Behavior”. The hundreds of architectural designs that are displayed intensively are mainly from young designers from China and Europe. It shows the changes and mission of architectural design under the different cultural backgrounds of Central Europe.
本届“Archiford欧洲设计展”的主题为“界限”与“行为”，集中展示的上百件建筑设计作品主要来自中、欧两地的青年设计师。表现中欧不同文化背景下，建筑设计的变迁和使命。

Hu Linhan, a young Chinese designer, said in an interview that people are familiar with “made in China” and very familiar with Chinese manufacturing, but often ignore “Chinese design”. This exhibition will make more European industries. People understand Chinese design and Chinese designers. Many of the exhibits are combined with traditional Chinese elements. This is also the direction of my (design work) efforts. Many young designers are also retrieving the traditional Chinese culture in architectural design.
旅意华人青年设计师胡琳涵在接受记者采访时说，人们对“made in China”耳熟能详，对中国制造非常熟悉，但却常常忽视“中国设计”，借此次展览，会让更多的欧洲业界人士了解中国设计和中国设计师。本次展品中，也有很多是结合了中国传统元素，这也是我（设计作品）努力的方向，许多年轻的设计师也正在将建筑设计中的中国传统文化找回来。
ARCHIFORD European Design Exhibition is dedicated to building a platform for academic exchanges and practical cooperation between Chinese and European designers. It combines European cutting-edge design resources and invites well-known European architects to review the work of young designers to enhance their visibility and influence.

“It’s one of the original intentions of our exhibition to make voices for young people and let young designers have a voice,” Archiford Architect CEO and curator Zhong Ximing said in an interview. He said that if many young designers have worked hard to design a work without winning the bid, it is difficult to have a chance for everyone to see it, and it will not let the architects and the industry pay attention, so we will create such a platform and let their works Have the opportunity to get in touch with excellent architects and professional media and get expert reviews.
“为年轻人发声，让年轻设计师有发声的场所，这也是我们举办此次展览的初衷之一”，Archiford 建筑事务所CEO、本次策展人钟喜明在接受记者采访时说。他表示，很多年轻的设计师辛辛苦苦设计出来的作品如果没有中标，很难有机会让大家看到，更不会让建筑师和业界关注，所以我们就创造这样一个平台，让他们的作品有机会接触到优秀的建筑师和专业媒体，得到专家的点评。
He said, “A generation will eventually grow old, but there are always young people. I hope that young designers can take over the responsibility of the older generation and promote urban development through their own design. Architecture is ultimately an “artisan.” The art has the mission of “inheritance.” In the design practice process, “design needs to assume social responsibility” is the work attitude and design belief that the designer has always believed.

“ARCHIFORD European Design Exhibition” started in 2018. It is a non-profit design exchange event organized by Archifor Design Ltd of the United Kingdom and European first-line office, Hygge Art grey design, and well-known European designers. The design exhibition was successfully held in Milan, Italy in 2018 and Helsinki in Finland, providing more academic opportunities and communication channels for young designers. In 2019, the “ARCHIFORD European Design Exhibition” will unite more European cutting-edge design resources, invite famous European architects as judges, judge outstanding designer works, enhance the influence of the works in the exhibition, and get more feedback. “ARCHIFORD European Design Exhibition” also provides a platform for European designers to communicate with Chinese designers, enhance the visibility of their works in China, expand the Chinese design market, and promote academic exchanges.
